What is the AIforKIDS program?
The AIforKids programme is a 10-week interactive course designed by EdifyPod to introduce children (ages 11–16) to the world of Artificial Intelligence in a safe, engaging, and hands-on way — without needing any coding experience.
Does my child need to know coding or be “techy”?
Not at all! The programme is designed for beginners. We use stories, games, real-life examples, and visual tools to make AI easy and exciting to understand.
What will my child learn in the 10 weeks?
They’ll explore how AI works, where it’s used in their daily lives, how to train AI AI and how to use it safely and creatively. Topics include machine learning, generative AI, ethical thinking, chatbot design, and real-world applications — all with activities kids love.
How is this different from a typical coding class?
This programme goes beyond coding. We focus on developing AI awareness, digital creativity, and future-ready thinking. Your child will learn how AI thinks, not just how to use it.
Is this safe and age-appropriate?
Yes! All tools used are carefully selected to be child-friendly, browser-based, and do not require personal logins. Activities are supervised and designed for safe digital exploration.
Will my child be using real AI tools?
Yes! Children will interact with tools like image generators, chatbots, and training models through platforms like Teachable Machine, Craiyon, and AutoDraw — all kid-friendly and hands-on.
Who teaches the sessions?
The sessions are led by a passionate tutor who holds a Master’s degree in Artificial Intelligence. They specialise in making AI concepts clear, fun, and engaging for children, using real-world examples and hands-on tools.
What’s the format of the course?
Sessions are live, weekly, and delivered online in small groups. Each session lasts 1 hour and includes discussion, demonstration, a practical activity, and reflection.
What do I need to set up at home?
Just a computer or laptop with internet access and a webcam. No software installation is needed — we use safe, web-based tools.
How can I support my child during this course?
Ask them to explain what they learned after each session! You’ll be amazed at what they discover. We also provide optional recap summaries and simple extension tasks they can share with you.
